Happy 4th of July
When the Kona Choral Society on Hawaiʻi Island and Windward Choral Society on Oʻahu join together in song, we are known as the chorus, Nā Puʻukani. The translation means, “The sweet-voiced singers and merry music makers.”
In celebration of the Fourth of July, Nā Puʻukani would like to invite you and your friends and family to our first Virtual Patriotic Family Sing-Along on Friday, July 3, from 5:00 – 6:00 pm (HST). This Zoom sing-along is open to anyone and everyone (i.e. one does not need to be a singer in KCS/WCS). No matter where you are in the world, please join in to celebrate the Fourth of July!
This one-hour sing-along will include songs like “America, the Beautiful”, “The Star-Spangled Banner”, “We Shall Overcome”, and “Hawaiʻi Aloha”

Mahalo for a very well organized Virtual Patriotic Family Sing-Along Zoom session last night. Despite being 6-hours ahead of HST in Washington, DC, it was refreshing for me to go back in time to my small kid time days in Hilo and then graduating from Kailua High before spending a career in the Army.
